Talk About What Frightens You Most.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome Back! If you are new, Welcome. This week we are talking about What Frightens You Most?

Let’s talk about why this is important. We need to talk about what it is that frightens us the the most because this will force us to talk about our fears and help with our self care. We can’t avoid our fears forever and the best way to start the process is by talking about it.

You are probably thinking to yourself well its a fear because its scary and we are comfortable. Well of course it is. That is why it is called a fear. If it did not make you uncomfortable would you have the fear? Would it really be scary?

Talking about it out loud can help you work through your fears. Do you really want to go through life too scared to address your fears? Now hear me out, I am not saying you will overcome your fears all at once. It will take time. What I am saying is that, we all need to start somewhere.

Let me share an experience with you in hopes that it inspires you… After a really good friend of mine was killed in August of 2014 I had signed up to get back in college and signed up for a class that was about Gender Women Studies. I had no idea that when I signed up for this class that it would mean speaking in front of a class of college age students. I had been used to speaking in front of a class of young kids but was not prepared to speak in front of adults. The topic was student’s choice but we had to talk about a controversial topic. It was the first time I had ever spoken out loud about being a survivor of domestic violence.

It was definitely scary but that was also the beginning of over coming the fear of being judged. It was the beginning of really healing. I had been in therapy at that point for three years but I really struggled to heal. This was just one of many things that brought me to a new place in my life and a fresh start a new me.

I share this in hopes that I can inspire you to start to share any type of fears you have rather its public speaking or fear of failure the best way to work on your fears is addressing your fears.

If you are looking for ways to face your fears reach out to me today and let’s get your started. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Stay tuned for new content coming soon.
