Hello Everyone,

Welcome back! If you are new welcome! Happy Motivation Monday! Today we are going to talk about Monday blues. Let’s face it we have all suffered from the Monday blues at least once in our lives. Monday is a tough day and let’s talk about why. Mondays are usually considered the first work day of the week. This means we dread having to get up and go to work. Maybe we are currently working for someone we don’t like. This can definitely bring the blues to anyone. We dread the thought of having to go to work at our miserable job and listen to our supervisors, managers or coworkers who are miserable. We show up because we cannot afford not to. We may be wanting to work for ourselves but realistically we know that we have to stick out our current job because it pays our bills. We can all relate.

Let me share a quick story with you that I know many of you can relate to. My last job I had prior to working for myself I worked for a big company but will not say who for legal reasons. Well I had what they called an onsite supervisor who made sure they made my life hell every single day. Not one day could go by that this person was not finding every single excuse in the book to yell at me, to write me up (later found out he was not supposed to do). This person blocked me every possible way they could to prevent me from doing my job.

Anyway, it got to the point that I dreaded every single Monday. I had absolutely no motivation to go to work. I had to force myself to get up and get ready for work. I had to push myself and find small things to get me motivated so I could show up and do my job. We all need to find something in life that brings us joy and motivation in our daily lives.
